Key features

Fonto Connectors comes with the following features.

Fonto Editor Hosting

Fonto Connectors hosts a configured instance of Fonto Editor and provides an optimized implementation of the CMS API required by the editor.

Document Templates

Fonto Connectors allows you to configure the XML templates that you want to offer to your authors to get them started quickly while providing them with guidance at the same time.

Storage Connectors

The following storage connectors are available out of the box.

CMIS Connector

Fonto Connectors comes with a CMIS connector. The Content Management Interoperability Services, or CMIS for short, is an industry-standard implemented by several CMSes and DMSes. The CMIS Connector implements the AtomPub binding compliant with versions 1.0 and 1.1 of the standard.

You can launch Fonto Editor from within your CMS by using the CMIS Launch API. This API allows you to seamlessly integrate the editor into your CMIS-enabled CMS whilst providing a single sign-on experience.

WebDAV Connector

Fonto Connectors comes with a WebDAV connector. The WebDAV protocol is a well-established and widely implemented industry-standard protocol implemented by several CMSes and DMSes. The WebDAV Connector implements IETF RFC 4918 for both non-locking and exclusive write-locking supported CMSes.

You can launch Fonto Editor from within your CMS by using the WebDAV Launch API. This API allows you to seamlessly integrate the editor into your WebDAV-enabled CMS whilst providing a single sign-on experience.

Google Drive Connector

The Google Drive connector lets users sign in with their Google account and access the files they have stored on their Google Drive. Working on shared files is also supported, including support for documents where the author has read-only or comment-only permissions.

Microsoft OneDrive Personal Connector

The Microsoft OneDrive Personal Connector lets users sign in with their personal Microsoft account and access the files they have stored on their OneDrive. Working on shared files is also supported, including support for documents where the author has read-only or comment-only permissions.

Microsoft Office 365 Connector

The Microsoft Office 365 Connector lets users sign in with their Office 365 account and access the files they have stored on their OneDrive for Business. We support creating, reading and editing all private documents. Due to a technical limitation in the API provided by Microsoft we only support reading for shared documents.
