enable-experiment/refrain-from-merging-differently-configured-nodes

Type: Boolean

Enable an experiment preventing nodes to be merged with each other if they are not configured the same. This can be used to prevent merging elements with equal nodenames but non-equal attributes.

This influences both the automatic normalization of elements and merging elements using the backspace and delete keys.

This experiment is enabled by default, meaning these elements will not be merged. Turning this experiment off causes elements to be merged if their nodenames are equal and they are configured to be mergeable, regardless of attributes and other traits.
